About Us

Our History

Town Creek Farm is located in Clay County, Mississippi, on the north and south sides of Hwy 50 between Columbus and West Point. Town Creek flows through the farm discharging into the Tombigbee River and Waterway about three miles east of the farm. This fertile "Black Prairie Farm" of about 3000 acres was predominately used for row cropping. Today, Town Creek Farm is dedicated to producing registered Brangus and Ultrablack cattle, hay and wildlife management. The land was initially purchased in 1993 by Milton Sundbeck, the current owner, chairman and CEO of Town Creek Farm. The last 700 acres was added in 2011, providing enough land to add a bull development program and sales facility. Town Creek will hold its Brangus and Ultrablack Bull Sale and Commercial Bred Heifer Sale on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the farm in West Point.

Town Creek Farm began raising producing registered Brangus as a joint venture partnership with Joe and Joy Reznicek's Cow Creek Ranch. Town Creek Farm genetics are based primarily on Cow Creek Ranch genetics and will continue to follow the direction envisioned by Joe Reznicek. Our primary goal is to produce functional bulls for commercial cattlemen.

Cow families that best embody our vision have been acquired from Cow Creek Ranch over time. Carcass quality, fertility, forage efficiency, longevity and efficiency are traits that will be relentlessly pursued by Town Creek to continuously improve marketability of the herd's progeny. Out-crossed genetics that can be added to further these goals will be carefully selected over time. Bulls are developed to ensure longevity, breeding performance and docile disposition. Bulls are developed in 40 to 50 acre traps on a forage-based ration composed of ground hay, wet brewers grain and soyhull pellets fed twice per day. The ration is carefully monitored to prevent stress on joints, feet and legs while maximizing performance.

Town Creek Farm’s most valuable asset is its team assembled to pursue these goals; the team includes the following: Joy Reznicek, President; Jim Brown, Farm Manager and Cody Glenn, Herdsman. Other staff members include Antonio Pierce and South American representative Federico Maisonnave.
